bowenli86 opened a new pull request #9135: [FLINK-13296][table] FunctionCatalog.lookupFunction() should check in memory functions if the target function doesn't exist in catalog URL: https://github.com/apache/flink/pull/9135 ## What is the purpose of the change Currently the logic to lookup a function is check either the catalog or the in memory function. But the correct logic is to 1st check the catalog, and if the function doesn't exist there, check in memory functions. There should be a resolution order. This is root cause of FLINK-13294 ## Brief change log - change `FunctionCatalog.lookupFunction()` to 1st check the catalog, and if the function doesn't exist there, check in memory functions - re-enable UT `LocalExecutorITCase.testUseCatalogAndUseDatabase` ## Verifying this change This change is already covered by existing tests, such as *LocalExecutorITCase.testUseCatalogAndUseDatabase*. ## Does this pull request potentially affect one of the following parts: - Dependencies (does it add or upgrade a dependency): (no) - The public API, i.e., is any changed class annotated with `@Public(Evolving)`: (no) - The serializers: (no) - The runtime per-record code paths (performance sensitive): (no) - Anything that affects deployment or recovery: JobManager (and its components), Checkpointing, Yarn/Mesos, ZooKeeper: (no) - The S3 file system connector: (no) ## Documentation - Does this pull request introduce a new feature?
