Hi Elias, the plan is to make the {{SlotManager}} pluggable for Flink {{1.10}}.
Having the {{SlotManager}} pluggable should allow to provide a different
implementation which tries to spread out tasks across the set of available
nodes. I hope that we can complete this feature for Flink {{1.10}}.
