liupc opened a new pull request #9714: [FLINK-14123]Change taskmanager.memory.fraction default value to 0.6 URL: https://github.com/apache/flink/pull/9714 ## What is the purpose of the change The default JVM Option value `NewRatio` is 2, that means the old generation ocuppies 2/3 (0.66) of the heap memory, but we allocate 0.7 (`taskmanager.memory.fraction` default value) of the heap memory in `UnilateralSortMerger`, that's a little bit aggressive.
