Chesnay Schepler updated FLINK-1258:
------------------------------------
    Description:
Currently, the local runtime distinguishes between iterative
(AbstractIterativeTask) and non-iterative (Task) tasks.

We could simplify the task hierarchy and logic by merging these. Non-iterative
tasks would simply be tasks, which have only a single iteration.

I think that this could also translate to simplified logic for the readers on
the lower distributed runtime layer.
