Seth Wiesman commented on FLINK-15755:
--------------------------------------

I think it is better to keep statefun documentation on a separate site as long
as it is on its own release cadence for the reasons you've listed above. A
first step would be to update flink-web to include information on the api and
link to the docs.

I think it is helpful, though, to at least integrate the StateFun docs with
Flink's docs stack and building process (markdown, Jekyll).

Although I one day dream of Jekyll free flink documentation, now is not the
time for that.

> Integrate the Stateful Functions documentation (currently hosted at
> https://statefun.io/index.html ) with the Flink documentation hosting.
> We need to discuss on this issue the exact form in which to integrate the
> StateFun docs, so that they are prominent and easy to find.
> It might not make sense to put everything in the same docs tree, yet, because
> the docs are also versioned with releases, and StateFun has a separate
> versioning/release process from Flink initially.
> I think it is helpful, though, to at least integrate the StateFun docs with
> Flink's docs stack and building process (markdown, Jekyll).
