I've done the manual smoke testing by running Flink 1.10.0 (release-1.10.0-rc1)
on GKE. I
* built a custom image (based on the release tag)
* deployed a Flink cluster
* ran multiple jobs submitted through CLI and web UI
* ran Flink cluster with HA enabled and killed {{TaskExecutor}} pods
* read the documentation
* verified that the log files are accessible through the web ui
* that the documentation is correct about how to enable console logging
Most of the things worked quite well. The potential improvements derived from
the testing are listed in FLINK-15788.
