It seems that we did not completely maintain the continuity of all versions.
For example, in some scenarios, tests are not provided for the 1.5 and 1.6
versions, so I doubted whether we claim to maintain a compatibility guarantee
for such a large version span. Well, [~chesnay] I agree to keep them.
