Chesnay Schepler commented on FLINK-16611:
------------------------------------------

[~swhelan] My main concern is which value for MAX_METRICS_PER_REQUEST ensures
that the report will not exceed the maximum imposed by Datadog. As in, a) what
is the limit b) what assumption on the size of a metric was made to determine
said value.

> Datadog reporter should chunk large reports

> Datadog has a maximum size for reports that it accepts.
> If the report exceeds this size it is simply rejected, rendering the reporter
> unusable.
> We should investigate what this size limit is, and split the report into
> multiple chunks.
