Andrey Zagrebin commented on FLINK-18191:
-----------------------------------------

Looks like there is a discussion about renaming backĀ *Flink Master* to
*JobManager* in [Flink
glossary|https://ci.apache.org/projects/flink/flink-docs-master/concepts/glossary.html#flink-master].
 See [ML
discussion|https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/red9d18f7173d53d016f6826410841b2726b9293ceefaea2de0cdeafb%40%3Cdev.flink.apache.org%3E]
 and [this

Therefore, closing this issue for now.

If we decide to get back to JobManager, we will also have to adjust back the
memory docs.

> FLIP-116 introduced several new configuration options for the master memory
> sizes, with a "jobmanager" prefix.
> Now, for historic reasons we use "jobmanager" in several places where
> "master" would be more appropriate, but for new stuff we should try to stick
> with the new terminology.
