Aljoscha Krettek closed FLINK-19152.
------------------------------------
    Fix Version/s: 1.12.0
     Release Note:
In Flink 1.12 we removed the Kafka 0.10.x and 0.11.x connectors. Please use the
universal Kafka connector which works with any Kafka cluster version after
0.10.2.x.

Please refer to the documentation to learn about how to upgrade the Flink Kafka
Connector version:
https://ci.apache.org/projects/flink/flink-docs-master/dev/connectors/kafka.html.

> In short, 0.10.x and 0.11.x are very old and you can use the "modern" Kafka
> connector to connect to older brokers/clusters. Plus, if push comes to shove,
> users can use the code from 1.11 and compile it against a newer Flink release.
