there is no Metaspace memory pool available for certain JDK implementations
(here specifically "jdk8u212-b03 of AdoptOpenJDK").
This is supported by my experiments utilizing {{-XX:MaxMetaspaceSize}}: For the
AdoptJDK run, I didn't see a change in `Max` for any MemoryPool.
