If extending the e2e tests turns out to be extremely difficult, I would also be fine with merging this change without tests, given that this is a non critical add on feature that is difficult to test. But first it would be nice if you could look into the e2e tests. In my opinion it should be possible. Sneaking in the right 2nd namenode config could be a bit difficult, but there's probably a HADOOP_CONF_DIR environment variable (or HADOOP_CLASSPATH) variable that you need to temporary overwrite for the 2nd NameNode) ---------------------------------------------------------------- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
