I took a look at it and I have some concerns:
# EoP is needed to stop the job eventually. I expect that with his fix, job
will stuck after stop with chaining disabled. Am I missing something?
# Using exceptions for flow control is error-prone. We had quite some issues
with exactly this logic in the past
If I remember correctly (the link doesn't work now), it adds some boolean flags
too in addition to chaning error handling. So it doesn't seem to me "no extra
work".
