[[email protected]] extending the sink is not a good idea as [~sewen]
suggested before. What I meant is to wrap/delegate all calls from the public
methods, like: close(), snapshotState(...), notifyCheckpointComplete(),
invoke(...), ... (invoke() being probably the most important one), and you can
try to catch and ignore exceptions in your wrapper class. As I mentioned, I
have no idea if the underlying classes will be able to recover and function
properly after throwing and ignoring such exception.
