Hi [~kanata163], very thanks for reporting this issue! I think this would
indeed be an issue that needs discussion, but I think it might not related to
FLIP-147 since it dose not rely on checkpoint to maintain, and I think current
the issue should be same for bound batch mode and streaming mode.Â
And on the other hand, could you also enlighten the detailed scenario that
relies on the metric? Since another issue also come to me that currently the
metric should be not kept if there are failovers, thus even if we report the
metrics at the end of the job, we might still not be able to ensures the
expected correctness for the streaming mode?
