@skidder I see, thank you for your explanation. If it's a familiar behavior
(with respect to AWS / Kinesis users) to completely override the region when
setting the endpoint regardless of the original value, then I think it's ok.
Can you also add information about the overriding behaviour in the Kinesis
connector documentation (can be found at
`flink/docs/api/streaming/connectors/kinesis.md`)? I think it'll be good to
have this explained.
