@xintongsong No worries, I hope you had a nice time away from work. Regarding the version-bump issue -- I did suggest an [alternative solution](https://github.com/apache/flink/pull/15599#issuecomment-1018897986) that I think would work and doesn't require bumping the version in the main Flink code. So I don't think it's necessary at this point, but it also wouldn't hurt and would probably be easier for others if you want to bump the version. So I'll leave that up to you to decide. Regarding the authentication, I don't think it should be that much work. I'm willing to give it a try.
