Review Comment:
   Yep. That works for me.
   
   If you plan to update `optimize(...)` to support unbounded inputs in the 
future, could we add a TODO here? Note that the current implementation can only 
support bounded data. And we probably need to make sure this function throws 
proper exception, if we have not made it support unbounded inputs before the 
release.
