    The discussions on the [JIRA
ticket](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-3035) and the [mailing
list](http://apache-flink-mailing-list-archive.1008284.n3.nabble.com/FLINK-3035-Redis-as-State-Backend-tp13904.html)
suggest that Redis is not well suited to serve as a state backend for Flink.

Shall we close this PR and the corresponding issue FLINK-3035?

    What do you thinkg, @sbcd90, @aljoscha, @mjsax?
