I tried out the change and I like the idea.
One issue I found is that transitive dependencies are not properly added:
Kafka 0.10 depends on the Kafka 0.9 code, but that one (and its dependencies)
are not added in the kafka 0.10 directory. I'm not sure if the assembly plugin
supports that.
