I'm not saying the path issue cannot be fixed. But even we fix it, users may still run into more other issues on Windows. Solely fixing this issue has little value, unless we can deliver a complete and reliable development experience on Windows like on Mac/Linux. And that requires significant efforts. It is a community decision that we decided not to support Windows environment, and we removed everything that may give users the impression that things may work on Windows.
