fxbing opened a new pull request, #4598: URL: https://github.com/apache/flink-cdc/pull/4598
## What is the purpose of this pull request? Fixes [FLINK-41201](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-41201). The Fluss sink wraps the framework-provided metric group again, causing the writer to update unregistered error counters. Reported error counters therefore remain zero after write failures. ## Brief change log - Pass `context.metricGroup()` directly to the writer in both `createWriter` overloads. - Add regression coverage for counter identity, duplicate registration, and asynchronous failure reporting through mailbox and flush paths. ## Verifying this change - All six new regression cases fail on the expected metric assertions before the fix. - All seven selected tests pass with Java 11 / Flink 1.20.3, Java 17 / Flink 1.20.3, and Java 17 / Flink 2.2.0. - Spotless and Checkstyle pass. Full-suite and end-to-end tests were not run. ## Documentation - Does this pull request introduce a new feature? No. - If yes, how is the feature documented? Not applicable. ## Was generative AI tooling used to co-author this PR? - [X] Yes — Codex CLI. Generated-by: Codex CLI 0.164.0 -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
