@sangkyoonnam A clarification to my earlier reply: after discussing this further, we don’t think ActionState compatibility across versions should be guaranteed. ActionState is intended to avoid repeating recorded work during failure recovery with the same code and runtime versions. For planned upgrades, we can restore from a savepoint without reusing the old ActionState journal, accepting that calls within unfinished actions may execute again.
