## What is the purpose of the change The problem is that sometimes this test fails with NPE like ( https://github.com/apache/flink/actions/runs/41757887087/job/126342289649) how it could happen The test used a fake executor. It ran delayed tasks on a second thread. So two threads ran at once. Both tried to claim the same slot request. The first one won. The second one found it gone.
