Hi @beryllw, thank you for the detailed feedback and the pointer to #2202. I understand the concern relying on the metadata cache to detect table deletion is not reliable since the cache has temporary semantics. Could you guide me on whether there is an interim approach that aligns with the direction of #2202, or should I wait for that refactor to land first and then build on top of it?
