        Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: OOo very slow to start if cups server cannot be
                    reached
    Classification: Code
           Product: framework
           Version: DEV300m106
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P3
         Component: ui
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
         QAContact: [email protected]

I have this in my /etc/cups/client.conf :
ServerName cups.example.com
This is the name of the cups server at work. I have already printed files at
work from OOo, it works fine.

When at home, the cups server cannot be reached. Then, OOo is very slow to
start: opening the first document (when OOo is not launched) takes around 3
minutes:
/opt/ooo-dev3/program/soffice foo.ods
When OOs is already open, opening another document takes only a few seconds.

If I comment-out this line in CUPS configuration file, i.e. if it reads
# ServerName cups.example.com
then OOs starts normally (a few seconds).
Likewise, if I am at work (where the cupas server can be reached), OOs starts
normally.
