oo opens and saves files created with libreoffice without warnings.
but there can compatibility issues or even data loss.

for example, lo 3.4 calc has a new feature (local named ranges):

<table:named-expressions><table:named-expression table:name="aLocalRange"
table:base-cell-address="$Tabelle1.$A$2"
table:expression="[$Tabelle1.$A$2]"/></table:named-expressions>

cause oo cannot handle these kind of ranges - they get lost on saving...

imho oo should warn users to save files which where originally created with lo
(and vice versa). maybe this could be done by checking "meta:generator" in
"meta.xml", cause the file extensions are same ...
