        Issue Type: TASK
Summary: Is it correct that a huge "program" soffice.bin should
                    appear as a resident task?
    Classification: Code
           Product: framework
           Version: version58
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P3
         Component: ui
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
         QAContact: [email protected]

Something is hogging memory on my system (1GB) and causing "out of memory"
errors.

Opening Task Manager to see what proceeses are currently resident, I see they
are all of type .exe. except the biggest, which is "soffice.bin" and that takes
around 60MB. A smaller task "soffice.exe" is also permanently running.

The size of soffice.bin varies. If I open OpenOffice, then close it, the size
of memory consumed by the permanent process soffice.bin changes between 15MB to
over 70MB.

Question: Is it normal for a file of type .bin to be appearing as a permanent,
resident task, and is it right for these two tasks to be active even when I
have not opened OpenOffice?

Thanks
