John Blum commented on GEODE-4354: ---------------------------------- Please change the title to match the expectation. The title reads "_... to --if-not-exist_", where as the description of this Jira ticket describes the appropriate change of "*--if-not-exists*" (plural). The plural form reads better and is consistent with databases (e.g. [https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/create-table-select.html),] thus making it more intuitive for users. > On create region command change option --skip-if-exists to --if-not-exist > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: GEODE-4354 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GEODE-4354 > Project: Geode > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: docs, gfsh > Reporter: Barbara Pruijn > Assignee: Dave Barnes > Priority: Major > > The gfsh {{create region}} command tries to be idempotent. If I try to create > the same region twice I get the below message: > {noformat} > Member | Status > ------ | ---------------------------------------------- > serv1 | Skipping "serv1". Region "foo" already exists.{noformat} > Currently, there is a > {{--skip-if-exists}} > option. This should be consistent with other gfsh commands and should be > rename > {{--if-not-exists}} > This option should also be added the {{help create region}} command. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005)
