and specifically removing old releases:

Things to be done:
1) Remove all releases that are not current.
{{cd dist/release/incubator/geode && svn rm 1.0.0-incubating.M*}}
2) Update the http://geode.apache.org/releases/ page for archived releases.
Republish website.
Change the urls to http://archive.apache.org/dist/incubator/geode/ from
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/incubator/geode/
3) Update [release
steps|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/GEODE/Release+Steps] page to
include archiving previous release.
