Having the Guacamole package in Debian updated including FreeRDP 2 support
would be very useful for all Debian and its derivatives users, including Ubuntu.
I filed a request for updating the package a while ago, [Debian bug no.
887465,|https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=887465] but now
Guacamole (1.0.0) is out with important changes and it seems this issue wasn't
addressed. [~nick.couch...@yahoo.com], [~mike.jumper] can you confirm if 1.0.0
builds against FreeRDP v2 (rc4) ?
It would help a lot for Debian packagers (which I am not) to know this, since
Debian now doesn't support FreeRDP 1. An option would be to completely drop RDP
support from Guacamole as Debian nears feature / release freeze in ~1 month.
For now I've put together documentation indicating how to manually install
Guacamole in Debian, there is also a helper script and links to other related
