Nick Couchman commented on GUACAMOLE-751:
-----------------------------------------
Have you verified that the TOTP application you're using supports those SHA
levels? IIRC, Google Authenticator, in particular, only supports SHA1. Not
sure about the others.
> TOTP plugin fails with sha256 and sha512

> Key: GUACAMOLE-751
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-751
> Project: Guacamole
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 1.0.0
> Environment: CentOS7
> Reporter: FB
> Priority: Minor
>
> The TOTP plugin is working correctly with totp-mode set to sha1 (or left
> blank- defaults to same)
> but when totp-mode is changed to either sha256 or sha512, I get the QR code,
> which I scan, then enter the generated code and I get 'Verification failed.
> Please try again', leaving me unable to login.
> User account has 'set own password' enabled
> Guacamole is installed on CentOS7
> Tested using MySql and Postgres (local and remote)
> Can't see anything in the logs indicating this failure- I can see that
> username/password auth is successful, then there's nothing further about TOTP
>
> Been banging our heads against this for a few days! Any pointers on logs to
> examine and I'll include any info I can- thanks
