Frank Riley commented on GUACAMOLE-847:
---------------------------------------

The green line is the memory usage of the `guacd` process (not the VM size).
You can see the memory going from a few hundred megabytes to 5GB over the span
of 8 hours. Two days are shown in the image. The other lines are irrelevant as
they are other processes I am monitoring. As I noted above, `guacd` only leaks
when there is actual audio data transmitted. When I turn off the camera audio,
which is on a windows box that `guacd` is RDP'ing to, `guacd` stops leaking
memory.

You can also verify this by watching the `RES` column in `top` continually
going up for the guacd process.

> I use guacamole to RDP to a windows box and monitor a camera in my home. When
> I have the audio from the camera turned off, guacamole uses very little
> memory. However, when I turn on audio, guacd is leaking memory very badly. I
> monitor process memory usage with telegraf and grafana, and attached is the
> grafana plot showing the guacd memory usage over two days. I only connect to
> guacamole when I'm at work, and you can easily see when I connect to
> guacamole when I arrive and when I disconnect before I leave.
