Hi Mike,
thx for clearing that up. thought it most be some workaround. Apple's Safari
(webkit) seems to be the new IE ... :)

So a question i was asking myself (because i never thought about that): is
there an EOL on iOS releases?
Apple grades devices as "vintage" or "obsolete". But i could not find anything
on a specific EOL for iOS releases. They somehow just stop releasing unless
there is some severe issue. For example OS 9.3.6 came around on July 22, 2019
to patch GPS related problems.

So according to that list some devices are still regarded as supported that
were originally delivered starting with iOS 7 (5s for example). So although iOS
8 was last updated in August of 2015 (8.4) it probably hasn't reached EOL yet.

Am i right on that?

I did some testing with older & newer hardware running the latest iOS 10, 11
12, 13 releases & guacamole without the anchoring code (as described above) ->
no problems.
I tested iOS 8.4 and 9.3 with appetize.io & guacamole without the anchoring
code (as described above) -> no problems either

can somebody verify?

> With devices running iOS 13, it is no longer possible to interact with remote

> not yet known. Older releases of iOS work correctly.
