Davidson Hutton commented on GUACAMOLE-810:
-------------------------------------------
Thanks for the quick reply.
Obviously, the viewable/usable screen is precious on a small ipad.
Previously, I was able to use the microsoft remote desktop IOS app.
It has a functioning one click button to show/hide the keyboard.
This toggle is not on the keyboard itself but rather on an anchored control bar
at the top of the screen.
While the technology is vastly different, we at least know it can be done on
the ipad.
I assume at some point in the past, this guacamole feature was working on the
ipad.
For security reasons, I am now forced to use the HTML5 guacamole solution.
The ipad, with remote desktop support, is a great solution for remote
production support.
But the current keyboard issue renders the viewable ipad screen space
impractical.
You should try to get someone to demonstrate the behavior on an ipad.
If I hold down the show/hide key, I get the dock and split menu.
I can split the keyboard, but I am not sure what the docking does.
So anyway we know the keypad button is detectable by guacamole.
It's the simple touch the button once behavior that is failing.
The screen does jump and shift, so it does appear the button click is actually
detected.
So perhaps it's more the desired action/behavior that is failing.
> Ipad screen jumps upwards while user focuses on Text Input.

> Steps to reproduce :-
> 1. User changes the input method to TEXT INPUT.
> 2. User clicks or focuses on the TEXT INPUT which opens up the system
> keyboard of iPad.
> 3. Only *half of the RDP screen is visible* on iPad ( canvas screen jumps
> upwards).
> 4. User *cannot scroll up to view the upper part* of the screen.
> 5. Once system keyboard opens up. It is always up on the screen.
> 6. User cannot hide it by changing TEXT INPUT to none.
> I have attached the screenshot of original screen and jumping screen for the
