I created a new Ubuntu 18.04 VM, updated and installed Guacamole from scratch
(with freerdp2-dev at version 2.1.1).
Connecting to my Win7 instance I get the same colour issues, although I don't
get disconnected [see update below].
I see the problem appears to occur in Ubuntu 20.04, and a ticket has been
lodged with the freerdp team:

Unlike me that person appears to be getting disconnected from Win7. They don't
disclose if they have any colour issues.
UPDATE:
I always set connections to 32-bit colour.
I've found that if I set the connection to have no setting, or 24-bit, the
colour issue resolves itself.
Apologies that I don't seem to be able to replicate the disconnection problem
in my test environment. Thus I cannot comment if this would have any affect on
connections, however I suspect not given no-one else appears to have commented
on the colour issue. Therefore it may be a red (orange) herring, albeit
annoying?
