Mike Jumper commented on GUACAMOLE-1220:
----------------------------------------
[~turtle-bazon], what are you referring to? What misdocumentation and/or what
bugs?
Typing umlauts should work just fine and has for some time. Typing with
characters requiring dead keys should also work fine as of 1.0.0. In the case
of the latter, this is indeed accomplished through a text field, a specific and
supported part of the guacamole-common-js API ({{Guacamole.InputSink}}), not
through a workaround:
http://guacamole.apache.org/doc/guacamole-common-js/Guacamole.InputSink.html
(added in GUACAMOLE-352).

> Project: Guacamole
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: guacamole-common-js
> Affects Versions: 1.2.0
> Environment: Void Linux with latest Firefox and Chromium.

> Priority: Major
>
> As can be found on [https://jira.glyptodon.com/browse/GUAC-659] that fixed in
> 0.9.3, but I have same behavior on Linux and Mac. Guacamole Firefox doesn't
> send keysym for àèìòù. It even doesn't handle that keyboard event. Tested it
> in onkeydown and onkeyup events of Guacamole.Keyboard. Chromium also not
> working properly sending extra keysym before that pressed.
