This is not correct. LDAP groups are definitely supported, and have been
supported since 1.0.0:
https://guacamole.apache.org/releases/1.0.0/#support-for-user-groups
As long as you configure how LDAP groups are mapped (just as you already
configure how LDAP users are mapped), you'll have LDAP groups in the UI.
