Nick Couchman commented on GUACAMOLE-1275:
------------------------------------------
[~ayujain2705]: I believe I see the behavior you're describing - I've
reproduced by doing the following:
* Create a connection "TestConnection"
* Create a "sysadmins" group and assign it permissions to Create Users, Groups,
Connections, and Connection Groups, and also assign it to "TestConnection"
* Create a user "adminuser" and add it to the "sysadmins" group
* Log in as "adminuser" - the user will immediately be sent to the
TestConnection page without going to the home screen.
That said, I am able to use the Guacamole Menu (Ctrl-Alt-Shift) and access the
Settings page from there, where I can perform the administrative tasks.
However, the behavior differs from assigning permissions directly to the user,
where the user gets taken immediately to the home screen.
> issue caused while logging in to user with all permission inherited from
> parent user group and only connection permission.

> Project: Guacamole
> Issue Type: Bug
> Reporter: Ayushi Jain
> Priority: Minor
>
> scenario -
> 1-only one connection exist
> 2-parent group has all the system permissions and user member inherits all
> the permissions from it's parent group but doesn't have any permissions given
> explicitely
> outcome - VM connection page comes up directly on logging in to the user
> without having an option to go to home page but if we even assign any one
> system permission explicitly to the user , this issue doesn't happen.
