Ondrej Linhart commented on GUACAMOLE-198:
------------------------------------------
Sorry for creating issue 2203, a duplicate of this one, I did not realize this
was reported already. I did not search through the Jira, I just googled the
issue and it didn't return anything meaningful, so I assumed I am the first one
to notice/care since this is probably only obvious in minor non-western
languages :)
However I think 2203 description contains valuable analysis that could be used
to speed up eventual fixing of this problem, so I am just leaving this comment
here to remind anyone who decides to take on this bug. Apart from creating the
suggested configuration property, the actual conversion should almost certainly
happen in print-job.c file. I do not have enough C skills to fix this reliably
:/
> Escaped Unicode characters in printed document title are not interpreted

> Project: Guacamole
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: RDP
> Reporter: Mike Jumper
> Priority: Minor
>
> When a document is printed via RDP using Guacamole, the document title is
> pulled from the PostScript document when generating the filename for the PDF.
> If this title contains Unicode characters which require multiple bytes in
> UTF-8, those characters are represented with backslash-escaped hex.
> Guacamole's RDP support does not re-interpret such characters, and the
> resulting filename will be mangled if they are present.
