I like this idea a lot, too - I think this is a great companion feature for the
IPMI Serial-over-LAN implementation.
Another feature that might be interesting, here, too, is to support the reverse
connection - that is, guacd listening for an inbound connection from a serial
device. We support this functionality with [VNC|#reverse-vnc-connections)], and
having it, here, would help things like hypervisors (Qemu and ESXi come to
mind) that support establishing these types of connections.
