Jon Roberts edited a comment on HAWQ-1299   Re: Extend memory limit for one virtual segment I think we should follow the GPDB pattern for consistency across these two products. GPDB: statement_mem - Can be set to any value rather than a distinct list of values.  Defaults to 128MB. max_statement_mem - Sets the maximum memory limit for a query.  Defaults to 2GB.  So for HAWQ, I think we should have: hawq_rm_stmt_vseg_memory - Change to be the same as GPDB statement_mem. max_hawq_rm_stmt_vseg_memory - New GUC to control the maximum value that hawq_rm_stmt_vseg_memory can be set.   Default to 16GB?   Add Comment   This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.15#6346-sha1:dbc023d)
