If you are installing HAWQ binary rpm, please refer to:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/HAWQ/Build+Package+and+Install+with+RPM
We have very detailed steps of HAWQ/Hadoop binary installation in the wiki page.
For the issues you hit:
1. You need to install the rpm packages in sequence following by the wiki page.
2. You need to install hadoop dependencies as rpm packages too, we mentioned
how to install hadoop from bigtop in the wiki page.
