It would be nice to refactor the splitLog stuff into a "LogSplitter" class
perhaps. I think there might be a patch floating around to do this already?
Cosmin, maybe? If that's the case, we could make it pluggable by class name,
which is a bit easier to extend (eg if someone wants to do MapReduceLogSplitter)
But if it happens the first way, that's fine too.
