[~ram_krish] I haven't started working on it yet. If you have already done some
investigation then feel free to take it up or else I can look into it. But as
noted by you, DFSClient on the HDFS side should expose some metrics. I can't
see it on the ganglia for dfs right now but I will ask on that list and see if
we can get something to expose in the HBase UI.
