Yeah that's what I saw when benchmarking on 0.95. (Scanner Pre-fetching was
running on lots of threads and not closing scanners so this was a big cost.)
Though now that scanner pre-fetching was backed out this is a little less
critical and I might actually only put it in trunk. Recent benchmark runs
haven't shown Leases.addLease nearly as high in cost since they are less
contended.
