0.96.1
[~nkeywal] FYI, we branched 0.95 to make 0.96 branch. This commit missed 0.96
and went on the 0.95 branch. Just FYI.
So, this fix is not in 0.96. Not sure it is enough to sink the RC. I've
marked it fix in 0.96.1 for now. If a new RC, will include this fix in it.
