It was removed for lack of need (at least in trunk code then). As far as I see, 
the attached patch uses it to check for non-retriable exception (not needed, AP 
already does that) and to call batch callback (which is retained, and also 
already called by AP on success).
Results/errors can be retrieved directly from AP submit/submitAll call result, 
or from AP itself.
If there's scenario for user callback I guess we can re-add it in some form...
