@Dhruba For 'locality groups', see the big table paper. Locality groups are
made of one or more column families. In the schema you designated what cfs
were in what locality groups. Then, apparently, all cf members of a locality
group were colocated on disk. Also, you could change what cfs belonged to what
locality groups.
HBase doesn't have notion of locality groups. It just has cfs (We 'conflate'
locality groups and column families -- or we just don't do locality groups).
@Todd I think it likely too much work. Should we support locality groups? On
the fly we'd support moving cfs between locality groups?
