It is because our pom.xml fails if you give the default profile in
hadoop.profile. Meaning, if you want to compile 0.98 and trunk with hadoop2,
you should NOT specify a profile, while in 0.96 you SHOULD provide the
hadoop.profile parameter. That is unfortunate but it is how it works for now.
